Redmi Note 14 Pro series launched: Price, specs and more

Xiaomi has officially unveiled its latest Redmi Note 14 Pro series at an event in China, introducing the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro+ smartphones. Both devices come packed with top-end specifications and features to improve the user experience, continuing Redmi’s tradition of offering competitive smartphones at affordable prices. At the moment, it is unclear when the new Redmi Note series phones will come to India, but this is expected to happen early next year because the Redmi Note 13 series arrived in January 2024. Here is a look at the prices and specs of the latest Redmi Note 14 Pro models.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro+ sport a 6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2712×1220 pixels, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display also boasts a peak brightness of up to 3000nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. For colour accuracy, it offers a 12-bit colour depth, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ support.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 14 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra processor, while the Pro+ variant runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. Both models offer up to 12GB and 16GB of RAM, along with storage options ranging from 128GB to 512GB. Additionally, the devices come pre-installed with Android 14, layered with Xiaomi’s new HyperOS for a more fluid software experience.
Camera enthusiasts will appreciate the dual-SIM devices’ advanced imaging capabilities. The Note 14 Pro features a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary camera, supported by an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro lens. The Note 14 Pro+, on the other hand, offers a 50MP main camera with Light Fusion technology and Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP portrait telephoto camera. Both models house a 20MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
In terms of durability, both phones are IP66, IP68, and IP69 rated for dust and water resistance. Other notable features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, USB Type-C connectivity, and a powerful 5G and Wi-Fi 6 network setup. Battery life is another highlight, with the Redmi Note 14 Pro packing a 5500mAh battery supported by 45W fast charging, while the Note 14 Pro+ offers a larger 6200mAh battery with 90W fast charging for quick top-ups.
In China, the Redmi Note 14 Pro is priced at 1499 yuan (approximately Rs 17,870), while the higher-end Note 14 Pro+ starts at 1999 yuan (approximately Rs. 23,835). The India prices of these models could be a little higher, just like what happened with the Redmi Note 13 series.
